A mural made up of four vertical panels, each with a photo that artist Marissa Sohn has taken of the event posters all around capitol hill, and stained and painted by myself to emphasize the colors and shapes of the water damage on the posters from the Seattle rain. We wanted to record those posters in remembrance of the vibrant arts culture that is moving out of that neighborhood to make way for new higher income residents. The neighborhood has become a trendy place to live because of its rich history, so we felt that the mural should honor that history by preserving it in hopes that the contributions of the previous residents won't be forgotten.
