Catching clouds (catching fireflies in the daytime): cotton candy balls of sparkling patterns of air are caught up in the sky, floating and soaring, being spun by the wind. I looked up at them, shielding my eyes through the windows, sheltered by vases of flowers, catching their fairy reflections in the flower-water.
The muscly feathered white ones are the ones that were kicked to the center in the excitement of the ceremony and now are soaring on that emotion, getting carried up and away..

Here’s where this idea/obsession began! I left my canvas on my easel in front of the window one night and when I woke up in the morning, the sun was streaming through it, creating this beautiful painting. I had to try and record it the next morning I had off. If you scrolled all the way to the bottom of this page, thank you for looking through the entire journey so far. You can see more of it on my Instagram. If you are interested in buying a painting or a print, you can do so by emailing klaasannieo@gmail.com (unless that painting is being shown at a gallery, in which case, their contact information will be under the painting’s photo. In that case you are encouraged to reach out to them for the purchase).
